A year and a month ago I wrote my first post soon after I got the blog. Not too much planning or contemplating went into starting this space, just mere impulsiveness. I am a very impulsive person by nature and sometimes when things turn out so well after all, am amazed. When they don't, I despise myself. I jumped right in without knowing whether I would be comfortable enough to show or share my skills or whether I was going to really feel part of the craft blogging community. Now, as I look back, it's been a worthwhile experience that has opened me to a lot of opportunities, challenged and inspired me and you all have been part of it. Thank you! So to celebrate this blog's anniversary, here is a little gift (Debbie Bliss's Special knits) for one of you to inspire your knitting. Drop your name in the bucket let me know if you're interested in the book by the end of Sunday, the 3rd of February and I'll randomly pick a name.
I know it's the month of love but it just happened coincidentally that am feeling inspired by the colour of red. So check out the individual credits of the beautiful photos below and maybe they'll inspire you too.
1. snowflake, 2. Red, 3. Tea cozy, 4. Untitled, 5. red :: knit3, purl2, 6. loksins!, 7. the making of simple, 8. summer treat!, 9. Seed stitch scarf, 10. rain on the washing line, 11. tissue paper pom-poms, 12. Bathroom Roses
Lastly, lovely Lin of Queenofthefroggers passed on to me her "you make my day award" (Thank you Lin!) and in turn, I am to "Give the award to 10 people whose blogs bring you happiness and inspiration and make you feel happy about blog-land. Let them know by posting a comment on their blog so they can pass it on. Beware you may get the award several times." You know how seriously hard it is to pick so few among so many people that inspire you? So, randomly, I'll pass it to Sheree, Katarina, Zoe, Cheryl, Nora, Leslie and Hpnyknits.
Happy Friday and wishing you a weekend full of goodness!
