small knits
I have my knitting bag full of these small and handy projects ready for the road tomorrow as we head out to Ottawa. I seem to have sunk into knitting small projects lately, partly as a relief from the last consuming projects and partly, just plain avoidance of starting something big. Do you ever feel like that sometimes? Anyway, here are the wips:-
Another pair of tweedy Chevalier mittens from this yarn. Hopefully I'll get both mittens out of one ball and use the second ball for a hat to go with the mittens.
Socks of Kindness also queued here on raverly. I started this pair out of desperation for something easy to knit while watching a great movie over the weekend and it's surely going fast. And maybe, I will finish these in time for Project Spectrum Fire theme.
Firestarter socks also queued here on raverly. This is my first toe up socks and the little cables are a bit annoying because I still use a cable needle (blush!) but I know they are just what I need to challenge my sock knitting skills.
Aside from that, I just finished another Ellen sweater for a friend but don't have photos to share yet.

Safe travels - Those are some lovely projects to keep you company along the way! The color and cables on those Chevalier mitts look so satisfying!

I think that small knits are best for the road. Drive safe, and have a good time. We have a lot of snow up here.
