Cableaholic Cure - Patchwork Blanket
I am a self confessed "Cableaholic" to the point that my knitting is mostly NOT without a cable included in the scope of the pattern. It's one of those things in my life that if I don't do it, my knitting life isn't as enjoyable as it should be. Lately, I thought about all the cables I drool over but haven't yet found the right project to incorporate them into, whether due to the size of cable, complexity, ease of memorization (critical for me) or the desired outcome not achieved using specific yarns. Anyway, I decided a patchwork blanket using a lot of my favourite cables, would be a solution to all my cable desires. Luckily, I had scored some Blue-faced Leicester yarn on Ebay but the color didn't turn out quite as expected. On the other hand, it's perfectly suitable this big project.
Here is Cable #1.

I'm already on Cable #2
Wide Lattice Cable
My goal to knit this blanket over a long term, maybe in 6 months or so. Size-wise, it will probably end in a 5" by 6", depends on the yarn (I think I have enough hanks) or how many more cables I can include.
I have already found that making these 9' by 9' squares is a no stress project. I hope I can make as many as I can before I lose interest (which don't think will happen in this case because cables are involved). I will give updates on this project as the weeks go by square by square. Wish me luck.
